Particle Health API Platform Now Enables Real Patient Data and Visual Records | Nation/World

NEW YORK, Jan. 12, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Particle Health, a healthcare data API provider, announces a pair of new additions to its developer portal that will help optimize patient care. Together, these features accelerate vendor adoption of FHIR APIs without replacing full API integration.

In Particle Health’s no-code API console, healthcare professionals with no coding experience can pull in the actual records of the patients they are actively treating. In the past, developers could only test Particle’s platform with synthetic data — the inclusion of real patient data allows providers to make individual queries about specific patients without straining computing resources.

Additionally, Particle Health unveiled an enhanced visualization component for its FHIR Record Viewer that makes it easier for developers and vendors to see the data they’re working with inside the portal. This will make the platform easier to use in real-world situations and provide an informative experience for new developers.

“These innovative new features in our API console will immediately increase the level of care medical providers can provide to patients across the country,” said Particle Health CEO Troy Bannister. “Thanks to the simple and intuitive design of our portal, more healthcare professionals will be able to access critical data at unprecedented speed.”

Particle Health’s easy-to-use API platform makes health data more accessible for processing. Giving users access to the records of more than 300 million lives covered across the United States in one place, Particle’s HIPAA-compliant portal acts as a single, secure point of access for data whose providers health care needs to treat patients on a large scale.

Access to the live API console is strictly limited to qualified providers, who can only pull data into the Particle portal if they have a certified treatment goal for a patient they are actively treating. This allows providers to have a one-stop-shop to easily access the medical history of any patient across the United States.

And as for the updated portal visualization, it will allow users to quickly see timelines, charts, tables, and pie charts that chart a patient’s history in a simpler way. It also includes the addition of a metrics dashboard where users can immediately see the number of queries they have made on the platform.

These two features are fundamental to what Particle plans to continue to build on. Expect more search, data visualization and patient information features in the future.
