With a direct R&D investment from STC INSISO of £150,000, already accompanied by early customer sign-up, the product has attracted considerable interest from three major companies in the rail, waste management and industrial sectors. energy, which will begin their implementation from July 2022.
This tool’s unique methodology uses knowledge gained during the audit process to analyze why non-conformities occur, compared to traditional audit methods that focus on what happened.
This product can be used on its own, but also integrates seamlessly with the company’s flagship product, COMET, which provides customers with an incident investigation and RCA toolkit. Steve Holmes, Chief Performance Officer at STC INSISO, said: “We have recognized that companies are approaching audit and investigation as two separate activities when prevention is better than cure, so the real value lies in the integration between the two activities. With our commitment to working with our customers to reduce incidents, non-compliance and loss, we developed COMET Assured to fill this gap.
Our simple and easily integrated system goes beyond compliance, identifying the root causes of incidents, or potential incidents, before they happen.
Pip Spicer, Quality Management Systems Manager at Viridor, one of the companies already on board to use COMET Assured, said: “We have been using the flagship COMET forensic tool for several years now, it was therefore easy to integrate this new tool into our system which allows us to easily extract our audit data to improve our safety performance. We have worked in partnership with STC INSISO to develop the methodology to ensure that it meets our needs and we are convinced that this package will help our employees to further reduce the risk of incidents and risks.
