TTi FREE WEBINAR: Safer, More Efficient Data Collection with Miovision

International traffic technologyin collaboration with Miovision, is thrilled to announce an exclusive webinar that will provide a smart solution to optimize roadside data collection while improving road worker safety.

During the webinar, TTi Editor-in-Chief Tom Stone will speak with Tony Brupaul, Co-Founder and Head of Product at Miovision, and Carley Hopkins, Group Head of Product at Miovision, about how a new video-based AI solution can make safer and more cost-effective data collection projects.

Miovision’s Scout Explore is a new portable video-based traffic data collection solution that can process on-device video. It then automatically uploads volume counts, speed, and pedestrian/cycle lane data to the cloud for immediate remote access and analysis.

Other benefits include:

  • Non-intrusive roadside deployment – set up in less than 15 minutes
  • Simultaneous collection of multimodal traffic data for volume counts, travel time and vehicle speeds with a single device
  • Reliable, accurate and verifiable traffic data. Road tubes and radar are not necessary.

“With its on-device processing capabilities, Scout Explore offers a safer and more cost-effective alternative to road tubes for collecting multimodal traffic counts and speed data,” said Steve Strout, president of Miovision.

“Everyone who attends this webinar will learn about the exciting possibilities that AI opens up in data collection, which will help make our roads safer,” says Tom Stone. “This webinar will help explain how advanced data collection can be accomplished with just a small amount of hardware – the technology is a game-changer for everyone involved in traffic management.”

The number of injuries and fatalities continues to rise for vulnerable road users, such as pedestrians, cyclists and road workers. Road workers are particularly at risk. For the first half of 2021, USDOT estimated an 18.4% increase in work area road fatalities compared to 2020. During the same period, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) reported that deaths in the work area had increased by 33%.

One way to protect workers is to get them off the road and instead adopt smart technology solutions for data collection.

If you’re involved in traffic data collection or road worker safety, don’t miss this free webinar on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at 2:30 p.m. GMT (London, UTC+0, 2:30 p.m.)
